With one decades of experience, Yulianto Maliang’s approach to architectural design is that one should design for the present and in accordance to one’s social and climatic context, while pushing the envelope of knowledge and technology that are currently available.
Throughout his years as an architect and in his works, he subscribes to the view that quality detailing and excellence in execution is fundamental to the realisation of good design. To this, the renowned Green School – International School founded by John Hardy in Bali, Indonesia, which he was a project architect of, stands as testimony. Combine this with the integrity and strength of his character, Yulianto has bridged many partnerships and successful collaborations in the course of his career. His business acumen has also enabled became a project management, to open opportunities for design and build practices in Indonesia.
